Asif Serajian, DO is a fellowship-trained, board-certified interventional cardiologist. He is a patient care advocate who is committed to using the latest scientific research and newest procedural techniques in the care of his patients. He also believes that good communication with the patient and other healthcare providers will lead to better healthcare outcomes.
Furthermore, Dr. Serajian has published several articles in the Journal of Invasive Cardiology and other peer reviewed journals describing new cardiovascular techniques and is an Editor for the Vascular Disease Management Journal as well as the Journal of Invasive Cardiology. Dr. Serajian grew up in Kentucky and attended Transylvania University in Lexington, KY for his undergraduate training. He received a degree in biology there but also had interests in philosophy and physics. He then went on to get his Doctorate of Medicine from Pikeville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky. He conducted his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of Ohio. He obtained board certifications by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Serajian completed his fellowship training in Cardiology through the Michigan State University at Oakwood Health System and Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Providence St. John Hospital in Southfield, MI. During this time he received board certifications in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography. He was employed and practiced in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago for 3 years until he decided to open his own practice in Elmhurst, IL.
